Kelly Smith, President
Kelly Smith has more than 20 years experience in media, sales, marketing, and has expansive knowledge of a range of industries, including technology, social media and real estate. Throughout her career, Kelly has been an early adopter and pioneer of new technologies and business opportunities.
Prior to throwing her hat into the creative ring to co-found Ambassador Energy, Kelly was able to realize her dream of designing and supervising the construction of her own custom ranch estate and the development of rural, raw land. In building to sell, Smith recognized the opportunity to participate in the marketing and sales end of the process. She fell in love with the organic and tangible qualities involved, which inspired her to procure a real estate license and foster an award-winning career. In fact, she finished her first year as Number 1 of 300 agents at a top real estate firm and one of 12 individuals to be named National Cultural Icons by Keller Williams Realty International.
Simultaneously, Kelly founded BeingJane.com, an online community dedicated to shattering the preconceived notions of women in society and the evolving roles that women have chosen to play. She was, and is still, the “Happy Feminist”. Other roles Kelly undertook in her career were: broadcaster, corporate spokesperson, advertising sales, technology sales, writer and philanthropist.
Kelly is an ardent believer in giving back to her community, volunteering to serve many charities, including Olive Crest Foundation, where she earned the award, “Ambassador to Children”; Inspire Foundation; Assistance League; La Cresta Trail Blazers.
Kelly earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Southern Methodist University.
